愛知県政策企画局国際課は毎年、「留学生インターンシップ事業」を通して留学生の就職支援・愛知県企業の国際化に大きく貢献しています。今年は昨年より事業が拡大しており、参加企業を60社も募集されています。Every year, the Aichi Prefecture government contributes largely to the employment of international students in Japan and the internationalization of Aichi companies through its internship program. This year, the program has grown even larger in scale, with 60 companies scheduled to participate.

当法人もこの活動に賛同し、事業への参加を決定しました。8月に一週間程度、留学生をインターンとして受け入れ、職場体験とともに日本企業で求められる能力・資質について教育します。また、留学生の就職を促進するために何が必要なのか、どのような支援が求められるのかに基づき計画をしてもらい、当法人の支援プログラムの充実化を図ります。To show our support for these efforts, Global Aichi plans to host an international student intern for approximately one week in August. This intern will learn not only the skills and characteristics demanded by Japanese companies, but will also have the opportunity to plan events and contribute directly to Global Aichi`s service development.

大変有意義な事業ではありますが、日本企業はまだインターンシップにそこまでなじみがないのも現状です。そのために先週、愛知大学と名古屋大学で行われたインターンシップ事業の説明会にお招きいただき、事業への参加目的の説明とともに、当法人の活動を留学生に紹介しました。また、当法人の会員が参加するように働きかけ、一定の効果も出ております。While this is an extremely worthwhile project, the fact of the matter is that Japanese companies are still just warming up to internship programs. In support of this project, we participated in information sessions last week at Aichi University and Nagoya University and have called upon our member companies to participate.
